MUTARS® Total Femur
Modular megaprosthesis for total femoral replacement, with simultaneous reconstruction of the hip and knee joints.

MUTARS® Total Femur reconstructs the entire femoral bone, replacing both the hip joint and the knee joint. It is indicated in tumors affecting the femur along its full length or in major bone defects following complex revisions.
The system combines the proximal femoral component (with a CoCrMo, ceramic, or TiN-coated titanium head and an EcoFit® 2M cup) with the distal femoral component and the knee joint (GenuX® MK or M-O-M, with MUTARS® coupling and tibial plateau). The reconstruction length can be adjusted in 10 mm increments.
As throughout the MUTARS® system, the toothed connections allow intraoperative rotational adjustment, while the hexagonal stems ensure intramedullary fixation. The MUTARS® attachment tube (PET) is used for the soft tissues.
