MUTARS® LUMiC® (periacetabular reconstruction)
System for partial pelvic reconstruction — for major bone defects of the acetabulum, after multiple or complicated revisions.

MUTARS® LUMiC® is the system solution for partial pelvic (periacetabular) reconstruction, indicated for major bone defects of the acetabulum — after multiple or complicated revisions of the hip joint, or after tumor resection. The first LUMiC® prosthesis was implanted in 2009.
The main components are the LUMiC® cup (titanium alloy, cementless) and the LUMiC® stem, secured with a fixation bolt and an M6 screw. The system integrates with the rest of the MUTARS® portfolio for hip joint reconstruction.
For infection prevention, LUMiC® components can be supplied — like other MUTARS® components — with a silver coating; for allergy prophylaxis, CoCrMo components can be given a TiN coating.
