MUTARS® Proximal Tibia
Modular megaprosthesis for proximal tibial replacement, with femoral resurfacing — in tumors of the proximal tibia.

MUTARS® Proximal Tibia reconstructs the proximal tibia following tumor resection, with a rotating-hinge knee arthroplasty and femoral resurfacing. The first MUTARS® proximal tibia model was brought to market in 1995.
The system uses GenuX® MK components (stem, femoral component, MK polyethylene insert), the MUTARS® coupling, the proximal tibial plateau with its connecting part, cemented and uncemented tibial stems, and a cemented patellar component (made of polyethylene). Soft-tissue reattachment is performed with the MUTARS® attachment tube.
The toothed connections allow intraoperative rotational adjustment, and additional bone loss can be addressed with EPORE® metaphyseal cones and components.
